The training of children and young part 3

Again, the clock was never far away . " Angie ", " Cindy ", " Chelsea " and " Barbara " was the foundation of our program. This allowed us to keep the metabolic conditioning boys high enough. It was during this period that the boys have done 39 rounds of " Cindy " 20 minutes and scores of " 5 " to " Chelsea ". Yes, there were several problems of ROM, but it was our choice to keep the intensity and fun ( and scores) circuits as the hard part was done to correct the embodiment.

Structural problems and flexibility were treated gently . Structural and individual barriers were addressed in a methodical and detailed manner . The approach to training to work with each was as individual as each boy. The aftermath of growth have created unexpected obstacles that perfect shape turned into a nightmare when the bones are elongated and muscle flexibility did not stay . Movement seen once became dangerous simply because the basic was no longer possible. We found unique ways to address these problems, while still maintaining the integrity of the training protocol. We modified the movements as necessary to accommodate the lack of flexibility , and the children have learned to be patient while their body is adapting to the inevitable changes of adolescence.

A year later we reassessed postures and David Connor and determined that it was definitely a year well spent . The changes we have made to the training protocol was successful . Focus on the movement was the key to achieving the original goals of boys. When we correct form , the numbers have followed . Since our phase retraining , these young men - now aged 16 and 17 years - have made incredible progress. As long as they continue to train , shape remains the crux . If the movement is deteriorating at one time or another , the charge back into the rack.

Focus on technique rather than on ego ( theirs or mine ) helped David and Connor become great athletes who raised loads continue to increase and the times on the wod continue to decline , while ROM problems that were present have disappeared. In the preceding table are present comparisons of statistics of each boys since early 2007 to approximately the same period this year ( ndt : 2008). Their progress in one year is impressive.
